Schools ICT has developed a solution to help you stay connected during the school closure period. Microsoft has a tool called Teams which can be used for collating learning resources and directing learners. Teams also include collaboration tools such as chat and video calling which can be switched on in preparation for co-operative learning experiences from remote locations.
A full school set-up is a long-term project, but Schools ICT has developed a lighter version that can be quickly deployed to get you up and running. We are calling this Rapid Teams.
Included in the set up will be a number of channels and populate these with your pupils, essentially mirroring your year groups and classes. We can also set up channels for staff only sharing and for Governor only sharing if required.
We'll also provide you with the training guide and materials to help you to use Teams.
Stay connectedOur Teams solution will help you:
All we are asking is for schools to cover the time it takes the Cirrus Team to set up your Rapid Teams environment. For most primary schools this will be in the region of £100, but for some larger schools we might need to spend more time and will be happy to discuss your special request.
Our one-off development costs for creating your Teams site does not include on-going support and maintenance. We will be offering a full support package from 1st September 2020 and will send you details of this in due course. However, given the key role Microsoft Teams can play for schools and academies during the pandemic, Schools ICT will provide support to those schools we have created Teams sites for until 31st August 2020 without additional charge.
Call Schools ICT to discuss the options and the best way forward. As always we’ll give you an honest answer.
