This course covers the tasks that must be completed at the end of the academic year in SIMS. It would be beneficial for those responsible for completing the year end procedure.
This course will cover all routines required to complete the Year End process in SIMS. This includes the following: - Creating the new academic year. - Updating staff records including adding new staff and removing leavers. - Updating pupil records including adding new admissions and dealing with leavers. - Sending CTF's for leavers. - Setting up the new pastoral structure for next year. - promoting year groups and registration groups for the new academic year. - Ensuring attendance is up to date and DfE compliant. - General housekeeping.
Delegates will have a clear understanding of the year end process in SIMS and be able to set up their system ready for the new year.
A basic knowledge and experience on SIMS is required. This course is aimed at school administrators. Secondary school staff can attend this course if they wish, however this course will only cover the pastoral routines and not academic routines.
