The submission of Post-16 Learning Aims data has a direct bearing on a school's funding. This course looks at how various tools in Bromcom can be used to facilitate the return of this data in the Autumn School Census return.
In Bromcom, Learning Aims belong to the individual student, and therefore changes can be managed directly in the student record. However this course will look at the various tools within the MIS that can be used to manage Post-16 Learning Aims. It will cover:
- Updating QWS QN Data
- Assigning Exam Levels to Classes
- Creating and Managing Courses
- Use of the Bulk Learning Aim Update tool
- Adding Learning Hours
- Transferring students from one Learning Aim to another
- Updating the status of completed Learning Aims
- Student Prior Attainment data
Outcome:
By the end of the course delegates will be able to prepare and manage all aspects of the Post-16 Learning Aims data that impacts school funding. You will:
- understand how Courses can be used to manage Post-16 Learning Aims and Learning Hours
- be able to update student prior attainment data
Audience
This course is aimed at Data Managers, Administrators, Examination Officers and staff responsible for the Post-16 Learning Aims return. An understanding of the curriculum structures and procedures used in the school and knowledge of the school’s curriculum policy would be helpful
