This course has been designed to enable you to make the most of the valuable management information that has been collected as part of routine attendance registration. The course concentrates on the data that can be used to monitor and ultimately improve pupil achievement. This assumes that if a pupil is not attending school they will be at a considerable disadvantage.
This course will look at:
This course starts by looking at developments on the SIMS Home Page that help to ensure attendance registers are taken on time. It also looks at defining letter templates specifically related to attendance to make the process of contacting parents straightforward. General techniques for running reports are covered including exporting data to Excel and Word. A series of scenarios takes you through particular reports and indicates how they can help identify and improve attendance. This course looks at how the letter templates can be used to semi-automate communication with home in relation to attendance and how the communication can be positive as well as negative.
The course you will enable you to:
- use the SIMS Home Page to monitor attendance and real time data
- appreciate the functionality afforded by the predefined attendance reports and displays
- simplify procedures to produce letters and certificates directly from SIMS Attendance.
Delegates should be familiar with SIMS and the Attendance software.
£60 per delegate - remote delivery via Microsoft Teams.
