FAQ

Where are courses held?

We offer courses at County Hall, Northallerton and North York Moors National Park Authority in Helmsley. Our trainers can also come to your school.

How do I enrol for the course?

Bookings need to be made through North Yorkshire Education Services (NYES, previously called Smart Solutions). please click here 

Will I receive acknowledgement and confirmation of bookings?

Delegates will receive notification of the booking to the registered email address. If you have not registered with NYES and would like to book onto our training. Please contact the Schools ICT Helpdesk.

Will I get a certificate at the end of the course?

Yes. After completion of your course, you may log into your account and download the certificate.

Can I can cancel my enrolment and get refund?

We require 24 hours notice to cancel your place on our course and 100% refund will be given. To cancel your place, please call NYES - 01609 533222 or contact the Schools ICT Helpdesk.

What is the deadline for applying for the course?

 The booking deadline is a week before course commencing. If it is past this date, please contact Schools ICT as there may be places still avaliable. 

What happens if I register for a course, but there are not enough people enrolled on it?

Schools ICT reserves the right to cancel a course, if, for example, there are insufficient numbers. If this occurs, we will refund your course fee in full.

Is there an exam?

No

How do I get access to the class materials?

Course materials for MIS training will be provided on the day. If you would purchase course materials without attending the course, you can buy a manual at the cost of £40. Please contact Schools ICT. 

Can I give feedback?

We would be glad to receive your feedback. You will be sent an email from NYES with a link, follow the link and complete the feedback form. If you have any suggestions that you would like to discuss with us, please contact the Schools ICT Helpdesk. 

Do you provide refreshment?

Yes, hot drinks and cold water is available throughout the day and regular refreshment breaks are timetabled in the programme. Please note, full day courses include a buffet lunch.

Do you have disabled parking and toilets facilities?

We have disabled parking and toilet facilities.We aim to provide full access to all our facilities within the venues and recognise that disabled visitors may require extra equipment, facilities and assistance both routinely and in an emergency. All our computers can be tailored for various abilities, with notice we can produce Braille or Large Print as necessary. If you would like to make us aware of any special needs you may have or if there is any way we can enhance your experience of our training please let us know how we can help. Please click here for our contact details.
