As you will be aware, from 1st April 2019, the DNS and Office 365 support that was included in your broadband package have been separated and these are now standalone products. This was to allow schools to pick and choose the services that they required and save the cost on products they do not need.
Please be aware that if your school uses an @n-yorks.sch.uk email address, you will need to purchase our DNS Management and Hosting package via NYES in order to ensure your email continues to operate after 1st April. Likewise if you have a website hosted through Schools ICT (with the Cirrus team) this will be necessary to keep the website operating. Please get in touch if you are not sure who hosts your email and website and we will be able to assist you. If you are changing provider, please ensure they are set up to handle n-yorks email addresses.
If you require support with any Office 365 queries, changes and updates, you will need to purchase Office 365 support via NYES. This support package includes managing and administering tenancies, adding new users, password resetting and fault diagnosis and resolution. We offer expert technical advice to school leadership on all aspects of the use of the Office365 core applications and support to staff and users on how to make the most of using these packages. The service is delivered using a combination of telephone, remote and on-site assistance. No limits are placed on the frequency or volume of requests for assistance that can be made.
